Avignon
Discover the Popes’ City
Avignon, european capital of culture in 2000, nest of the most prestigious theater festival, is a unique destination with many marvels to discover. Located 10 minutes from Avignon, 45 kilometers from the Mont Ventoux and les Alpilles, the village of Védène is a good compromise between the city and the nature to visit “la Cité des Papes” while enjoying the peacefulness of a provencal village. Did you know that ? Despite what we could think when listening to the famous song ” Sur le Pont d’Avignon”, in the Middle Ages we didn’t dance on the bridge but under the bridge, as Avignon’s famous bridge was not overlooking water but an island with many “guinguettes”.
